Made by grandads

Irish directing duo Grandads are fresh voices known for visually rich, emotionally precise work that moves between music videos, commercials and narrative film. Leah Moore from Dublin and Douglas Reddan from Clare bring different but complementary backgrounds, fusing acting, theatre and writing with movement and choreography to create a distinctly physical, emotionally attuned cinematic language. Both first established themselves as solo directors before choosing to collaborate under the shared moniker Grandads, focusing on narrative and commercial projects that are visually striking and character driven. They began collaborating informally, acting as an extra eye behind the camera on each other’s individual projects before formalising their partnership as co-directors.
